I was trying to post this question to the list earlier today from work but
all of my attempts to  post got returned with "content rejected" -- what's
up with that?

Anyway... if you have a FreeBSD (4.3R) box with one network card, can you
setup a firewall in a similar fashion as a multihomed box?
