I just created a NIS map entry for /etc/services. # less /var/yp/services # Added for saned sane 6566/tcp #Sane network scanner daemon Now, when I issue the command "ypcat services" on clients machines, I get the following output: # ypcat services sane 6566/tcp #Sane network scanner daemon sane 6566/tcp #Sane network scanner daemon Why do I have the same entry twice ? Any idea ? Thanks in advance. Antoine
