has anyone managed to run portsentry with IPF?

i have IPFW and IPF enabled.. IPF does firewalling, while IPFW has only "allow ip from any to any" rule.. i cannot seem 
to make portsentry run.. since all connection apptempts are dealt with by IPF before portsentry can react..
