I just went from 4.1.1-RELEASE to RELENG_4 and I had the same problem. A simple cd /dev; MAKEDEV psm0 fixed it. I'm sure there are other problems for some of you, but for others it could be that simple. I also had to reboot for the problem to go away (?) -j.
