During intall I get this error: => SHA256 Checksum OK for rpm/i386/fedora/4/zlib-1.2.2.2-5.fc4.i386.rpm. ===> linux_base-fc-4_1 depends on file: /usr/local/bin/rpm2cpio - found ===> Patching for linux_base-fc-4_1 ===> Configuring for linux_base-fc-4_1 ===> Building for linux_base-fc-4_1 ===> Installing for linux_base-fc-4_1 ===> linux_base-fc-4_1 conflicts with installed package(s): linux_base-8-8.0_14 They install files into the same place. Please remove them first with pkg_delete(1). *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/emulators/linux_base-fc4. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/emulators/rtc. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/emulators/vmware3. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/emulators/vmware3. I do understand the conflict, but I am not sure what the best way to handle this is. Trying to remove linux_base, gives a lot of work since a lot of other stuff depends upon that. Any recommendations? Another question, regarding speed and ease of configuration, which is recommended: VMWare vs. Qemu? Best and kind regards, Rico
