I'm running -STABLE and this weekend I cvsup'ed and made world as usual. Some changes to FreeBSD was made recently that makes FreeBSD clear the "active partition" mark for my first IDE disk. It's very annoying to have to use a bootdisk and run fdisk.exe everytime I reboot my compter. My configuration is: ABit AX5 motherboard Intel Pentium 200 MMX 64MB RAM FireGL 1000Pro gfx card Primary IDE interface: disk 0: Quantum 1280. Entire disk i FAT32/Win95. BIOS type is "LBA". This is the partition marked active. disk 1: Hitachi CD-ROM Secondary IDE interface: disk 0: IBM Deskstar 4 4.3G. BIOS type is "Normal" About 500MB DOS, rest is BSD. disk 1: no disk I also upgraded my motherboard BIOS this weekend. Of course it *can* be the BIOS that causes this bug, but I think that's unlikely. I can't remember when the problems started, so I wouldn't rule anything out. Regards, Tommy _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
