My plan is to install FreeBSD on the second = drive and use my BIOS to boot to that drive. Installation proceeds well, = computer reboots, and the kernal starts then lists the drivers but at = the very end the system says "panic: cannot mount root". Problem may be = disk geometry. Drive is 7237 cyls 15 heads 63 sectors. BIOS reads the = drive as 848 cyls 128 heads 63 sectors. I have tried having a DOS = partition on the drive as well as keeping the partitions below 1024 = cyls. What am I missing?
