I did the following: cd /usr/ports/mail/cclient make deinstall install clean WITH_SSL_AND_PLAINTEXT=yes /usr/ports/mail/imap-uw make deinstall install clean WITH_SSL_AND_PLAINTEXT=yes The flag at the end can also be WITHOUT_SSL=yes if you don't want ssl full stop!!
