FDISK was fine, but disklabel fell over on the default settings. Had to fiddle about with inodes and block sizes. (Sorry can't remember details - this was at home, and I'm not on this list there.) As an aside, will i need to recompile kernal or do anything special to add additional IDE interfaces bar the two normal ones?
