I, however, keep running into a problem since I am using a cyclades card it appears that I need to use some flavor of getty that re-inits my modems after a user hangs-up...I have tried several proposed ways of execing pppd from the ttys file with little or no results. My problem lies in the requirments that I need to fulfill. This PPP dialup must accomplish these tasks: It must work with WIN95 dial-up networking, It must run on a Cyclades card. What I have tried: I have tried calling pppd from ttys I have tried using AUTO_PPP that is supposed to be built into mgetty. I have tried calling pppd from a .login I have tried calling pppd from rc.local These are the problems: pppd will not respond to win95 or the modem isn't reinited after someone calls in. I seriously need some help on that, I would like to use mgetty simply because if I need to use a shell I would like a non-ppp connection ANYONE WITH EXPERIENCE IN THE ISP side of setting up PPP under freebsd I would really appreciate your help. wildcard -----BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK----- Version: 2.6.2 mQCNAzQ+Te4AAAEEAMOfXAPvy7YTmgOG+RtdddihcXnlSjuO8AqkaIoGM9rLvkRj XF0GY4zWlSFDR5QQU8agfyQ8YARl9ICxg8g64cm8Ejyhi87014mYcLx6j/Z4kgBp oyTCJLELjOb1mdmloMsNoiXoU7iYG8/Wnz9Hf9uCC0FE0S3A57JEJYo0aRu1AAUR tBh3aWxkY2FyZEBiZWxlbi5rMTIubm0udXM= =4A/3 -----END PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK----- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
