I'm not remeber such things with my 3.4 2. There are two network cards in my system. Bouth are PCI realteck = baset NE2000 clones. detected as ed0 and ad1. The qestion is why i shold = include in kernel ISA device ed0 to forse my PCI card to work ? Recently I sucesfuly upgraded from my = 3.4-STABLE to=20 4.0-STABLE and noticed two strange things.
 
1. when I compile kernel, say w/o my = network card,=20 and then compiling it with it I need to do make clean, but config = process don't=20 say to do this. I'm not remeber such things with my 3.4
 
2. There are two network cards in my = system. Bouth=20 are PCI realteck baset NE2000 clones. detected as ed0 and ad1. The = qestion is=20 why i shold include in kernel ISA device ed0 to forse my PCI card to = work=20 ?
