And it still would be my goto distro, if I would have to switch. But Linux in general feels very messy to me (This is not a rant, just my personal feeling). On my T530 FreeBSD was running stellar. UMTS, WLAN, sound, docking, multiple monitors, eve online in wine, you name it. Everything worked. And out of the box, too. So I kind of liked my T530 very much and wanted to keep it some more years :( The only thing I really dislike about the T540 is the trackpad. It feels really strange. But I didn't like the T530 mouse either so there is no change ;) But I have no problem with the current keyboard etc like many others do. Most of the time it is docked and I use my Kinesis Advantage and an external mouse anyway ;) I heard in the latest BSDNow Podcast, that they are pushing Haswell stuff with FreeBSD 10.1. So I might go to a 10.1(-rc) right away when the notebook arrives. And I don't think my next laptop after that will be a Lenovo, their current line products are badly designed and make it particularily hard to run non-Windows systems since so many functions that were buttons or LEDs are now in software. _______________________________________________ freebsd-mobile@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-mobile To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-mobile-unsubscribe@freebsd.org"
