Dunn" To: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org Subject: getting 'finger' output to show hostname, not IP of last login Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Quick question. How do I get finger to show the hostname of the machine a given user last logged in from, instead of the IP? It seems that for every domain not in the /etc/resolv.conf domain search order, I get the IP when I finger a user, not the hostname they logged in from. Any ideas? The box is a 2.2.8-STABLE if that helps. - Julian [ Julian C.
