I need to have access for about 50 stations to start. vnc should work well for what you want to do (if I understand you correctly). It sounds like you want to have several users, some of whom are using Win95, concurrently working on a single X display. vnc will do this, but you will need to specify that you want the session "shared" when you start the vnc client (i.e. "vncviewer -shared ..."). The vnc port will install both the client and server programs. If you download the Win95 binary distribution, you also get client and server functionality. For more information, look on their web page (listed in the port description). One interesting difference between the UNIX and Win95 versions is that the UNIX server shares a completely new X display, whereas under Win95, the server shares the existing desktop. (As a side note, I prefer both these models of collaboration to the way NetMeeting does things, which gives you a "two consoles chained at the hip" approach to sharing applications.) Play around with this, and if you have have any questions, drop a note to me or to freebsd-questions (one hint: -questions is probably more appropriate than -net). In theory, I'm now the port maintainer, but I did a boo-boo when I missed an upgrade that broke the port...thanks to whomever fixed it.
