THOSE are bad questions to ask ::) Mutt stores addresses in a simple flatfile. Aliases are really simple: alias nickname Stuff You Want It To Expand To ex: alias questions FreeBSD Questions That being said, it *IS* different from the pine address book format. Luckily, you can convert between the two. Check out http://www.netmeister.org/apps/pine2mutt/index.html That program converts pine's .addressbook to mutt-style aliases.
