Up until now, I've not written anything as I've been too slack :-) I've written something now and uploaded it (along with some very brief documentation) to http://www.plug.cx/ Two things to note: 1. It's in Python, not Perl. 2. It's been written with MySQL in mind. I don't have a need for a Postgres, Oracle etc. version. I'm happy to host any contributions, though.
