I think that people are getting carried away with emotion. Choosing to draft a new set of rules is a knee-jerk reaction to something that could have been better executed. If a "HEADS UP" message had been posted, Greg would have been able to raise his issues with kld and users of the Voxware drivers etc would have been able to voice their concerns. Having notified people what was going to happen (and dealing with the unpleasant "don't do that you f*ckwit" type emails), the end result would have been much the same.
