There's probably a way to make the pcic driver work either way, and I'm underinformed on the background of the design decisions in question. I think the issue of is it or isn't it is most germane to whether we can supply the ISA irq and port on a config line, as we can for the devices that are definitely ISA drivers. Presumably using that configuration mechanism means tying it to the kernel data structures for ISA devices, and herein lies the problem. Nate, is that where the problems arise? Can you clarify? I ask for your opinion because you understand the ramifications of those ties better than I do. - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ted Faber faber@isi.edu USC/ISI Computer Scientist http://www.isi.edu/~faber (310) 822-1511 x190 PGP Key: http://www.isi.edu/~faber/pubkey.asc -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 2.6.2 iQCVAwUBNwz0zob4eisfQ5rpAQGojwQAo19DkTNKrDq32Pqahy0MvuH/IZV/l/41 Pvg9ov/53GyaQx3Wv7VCJNo1qAN+CynXZXiS7Kgr99JnfdcNjOIpYIoeTdlDvhr1 W4fq/1ZDYi682B0M+pGjoA8DNqCH8JiEdGsK8RNHKX/+iZeDeluvd/j7oYnPlrNf VXjKuPjiXQk= =jA4b -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
