To: multimedia@freebsd.org Date: Thu, 11 Jul 1996 00:45:08 +0200 (MET DST) X-Mailer: ELM [version 2.4 PL25] MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Sender: owner-multimedia@freebsd.org X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk I got a Soundcard for testing with a Crystal 4248 and Opti 82c928. Linux (Voxware) detects the card as a MAD16 soundcard. The question now is: How do I configure FreeBSD for it? Using the 'standard' soundriver from -stable (based on Voxware 3.0) I tried with: device mss0 at isa? port 0x530 irq 7 drq 3 vector adintr options "OPTI_MAD16_PORT" but the card is not being detected. I fetched Amancio Hasty's sounddriver (based on Voxware 3.5-alpha7-951119) but don't know how to configure for a MAD16 now. Any hints, clues, help? Thanx for stealing your time Guido
