It is a real pain and I wouldn't use it if I didn't have to. BUT, I do.... Now, did your start Apache with the /usr/local/sbin/httpd -DMOD_FP...??? What did the error.log file show when you started...??? What does this show? ps -auxw | grep httpd ...??? If everything looks like it loaded okay, believe this or not, but a simple reboot fixed the problem you are showing. Dunno why, but on several installs, this worked... others told me I didn't need to reboot, but it was the only thing that fixed it. BTW: /usr/local/frontpage/version5.0/exes/_vti_bin/shtml.exe is the location of the myustery shtml.exe. That's where it really resides.... Best regards, Jack L.
