It was asked many times, but i'll bump it again. There was patch in 8.0 to allow CARP as module http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-net/2009-April/021774.html But it was not committed... Any chances to see CARP as module in GENERIC? My interest is to use freebsd-update with CARP enabled systems.
