Most Ethernet cards can have their MAC changed, but its not always easy to do. So, pretty much, they stay static. If you change ethernet cards, it will have a different MAC. I had first connected the DSL modem to a different machine so the authentication was failing. Does the MAC address ever change unless I change the hardware?
