I AM doing interrupt sharing. I thought I needed an incantation to make it work, but I just checked and it's sharing the IRQ of the PCIC very nicely. I guess the irq line of my /etc/pccard.conf is now a bit obsolete. The dmesg has some odd looking stuff, but I think it's all OK, just different than what I'm used to. The probe of the sound interface is very different, but it works OK. The kludge to /sys/conf/files for sound is still required. :-( But I have a perl script to patch it, so I really don't much worry. (I almost always build a kernel before I remember to run it, though.) All in all, I'm happy and it sounds like an ever growing percentage of the mobile users are happy.
