TCP/IP interface can have only > one default gateway. If you are saying that having one default route is a limitation of TCP/IP, you are incorrect. Actually, RFC1122 says, When there is no route cache entry for the destination host address (and the destination is not on the connected network), the IP layer MUST pick a gateway from its list of "default" gateways. The IP layer MUST support multiple default gateways. Note the last sentence. This is one of the few places where I've seen FreeBSD to be non-compliant with STD RFCs. -- Crist J.
