IMHO, the problem is perhaps a bit of overzealousness on the part of developers to get people to "upgrade". Apparently 6.0 is considered too obsolete to maintain on mainstream servers, not that I really know as I have nothing to do with any of that. If you want to run the package that was released with 6.0, apparently ImageMagick-6.2.2.1.tbz, you can try the URL . -- Walter M.
