You somewhere have an LD_PRELOAD variable set for that library. This is a "busy cursor" library and it is popular with Gnome. A truss / strace won't help you either, as "ELF file OS ABI invalid" is a problem signalled by the kernel / dynamic linker - brandelf will tell you more.
