BUY.COM clearly works on a low- or even zero inventory basis. You can get them to CANCEL an order or an item on an order just by calling their 800 number, but they are not as responsive to e-mail. Two days after I e-mailed them to cancel an item, they sent a message saying that it was backordered. I called and found out that they hadn't read the e-mail yet. At least if they mess up, and you ordered with a credit card, you DO have recourse. --Brett To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hardware" in the body of the message
