A list member was kind enough to mend my ways about running single user - but then running 'passwd root' returns: 'passwd: error opening database: /etc/pwd.db.: No such file' etc. the file /etc/pwd.db is there: -rw-r--r-- 1 0 wheel 40960 Sep 29 09:45 pwd.db What could cause passwd to do this?
