I did that (and added CAM_DEBUG), recompiled, rebooted, tested and got ... no printfs. A little more poking showed up some differences between /dev/cd0* on the laptop and /dev/cd0* on another machine. cd /dev; ./MAKEDEV cd0 solved the problem. Mounts fine now :) Thanks for the help - turned out to be my fault.
