I've got a list of items to commit to RELNOTES.TXT, from culling the commit messages, that I'm doing a few at a time, in small groups. I'm going to work these off as I get time. Ideally, people committing features would update the release notes with whatever they think is significant; the danger otherwise is that someone who is not as familiar with the code (such as myself) will need to figure out how to express a change by summarizing commit messages or skimming code. I might be querying a few of you other committers about some specific instances where there were some significant changes to some part of the base system, but I don't know how to describe them. Think of this not as a chore, but a way to make sure that the larger userbase knows what you have been working on. > It's probably worth mentioning that the regular expression syntax for > killall(1) has changed. OK, I'll look into that.
