(414) 423-2420 Date: Thu, 11 May 95 15:14:37 EST Sender: hackers-owner@FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk I am having a problem installing FreeBSD 2.0 on a Dell XPS 386 system. I still can't get the system to boot from the hard disk even after writing the bootcode on the drive. After I assigned the mount points in the first part of the install and tried to re-boot the system to finish the install, the default selection at re-boot time shows "F?" and won't let me select FreeBSD. Is ther a problem with the bootcode or the disk geometry, and are there any better installation instructions available for this install? Tony Fisher fishant7@nascom.com
