I guess it was white noise: As the machine comes up, you can hear feedback from the mic (located in the centre, just above the keyboard and just between the two speakers that are on the bottom left/right of the lid underneath the LCD. The feedback goes away if you switch the microphone volume down to zero. If you don't, suspending & resuming will cause the white noise/feedback, and zeroing the mic volume will stop it. > I do not mind whether back out or not fjoe's patch. I'm not audio expert, so I think the best I can do at this point is try out the other patches and report if they work for me.
