Simple. You need NAT. Basically the host you try to ping does not know the way back to your host C. To do that you need to network address translate between C and the outside world. Since the above tends to to believe you use ppp, you will be interested into the -nat (former -alias) flag to enable NAT with ppp. Also, natd(8) might be of interest/help to you.
