I use the 3Com 3CCFE574BT (probably what you have) on my 5-CURRENT laptop. It worked fine when I was using 4.0-CURRENT, so I'd be surprised if it didn't work in 4.0-RELEASE/STABLE. You need the ep driver for the 574.
