Sorry.. just noticed your .samba.org address.. DUH..
For what it's worth, Tridge and Jeremy explained to me that it was because
of what happens if you've promissed to send 100K and then while yuo aer
sending, someone truncates the file.. I guess you know teh protocol better
than I so I can't say more than that..
