I see following possibilities: 1) Use boost release version as shared library version. This is safe and recommended by boost. 2) Use some other approach. I do not see alternatives, so please give your advice if you are aginst option #1. Please, remember that boost.org does not examine binary compatibility of their libraries, because this is nearly impossible to do for all platforms and compilers.
