Are machines with IP aliases still able to contact these hosts?
What does "netstat -nr" show on the machines with aliases?  Could
you give us a more complete description of your configuration,
including the commands that you use to add the aliases and the
"netstat -nr" from both the working machines and the non-working
machines?
