You still have to have a hostname set in /etc/rc.conf.  Make one up.  :)
you'll have to boot with the -s option on the Boot: prompt to bypass the
startup scripts.  Do `mount -u /' then `mount -a' to get your filesystems
back, edit rc.conf, then exit.

Run fdisk /mbr to remove the FreeBSD boot manager.  The OS/2 boot manager
is a bootable partition so using /mbr won't wipe it.
