I used an 80-pin cable, alright; and I even switched it out; still, only WDMA2. I tried: "/sbin/atacontrol mode 0 UDMA6 XXX" But to no avail. A speed-test confirms the disasterous throughput: % dd if=/dev/ad0s1e of=/dev/null bs=64k count=100 100+0 records in 100+0 records out 6553600 bytes transferred in 0.638866 secs (10258177 bytes/sec) Something is fishy. - Mark
