Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Greetings, Since the 3.4-RELEASE /stand/sysinstall -> post configuration -> distributions is broken, can someone tell me how I can install distributions without sysinstall? Particularly I'm looking for the 2.1 and 2.2 compat dists. Also, does anyone know when 3.4 sysinstall will be fixed? I am using the *new* fixed floppies, however http://www.freebsd.org/releases/3.4R/errata.html only states that the custom install and VLAN was broken on the CD, nothing in there about Distributions. I have tried to install (using the floppies) on many different systems with different hardware and have never been able to enter the Distributions menu. As soon as I select Distributions, sysinstall seg faults. Here is a bug report of the problem filed by someone soon after 3.4 was released: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=16026 Thanks, Matthew To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
