Until about a month ago, when it died, I was happily running 4.5 on a MSI 694d-AR Pro -- the one with four IDE-100 controllers. The motherboard, as I said, died. I'd be happy to have yours. ;=) And I never had a lockup of any sort. It just sat there, running two copies of Setiathome, Apache, sshd, and lots of other stuff. So I can't help you, except in a negative sort of way.
