What does 'ldconfig -r | grep libgnu' show?

The hints file is setup in /etc/rc.  Look at 'grep LDC /etc/rc*'.  You
can do this manually, as root.  Make sure the directory to
libgnuregex.so.2.0 is in the arguments to ldconfig.
