Unfortunately I don't have the resources to come up with a solution (e.g. porting ext/rope to clang), so I can only suggest a workaround: Add USE_GCC=any in lang/maude/Makefile. When reporting what happens if you do so, please also mention the versions of FreeBSD and the compiler(s) that you've used. Thanks!
