This one is for the gurus:

I am updating a 3.5-S system to 4.X. I've done cvsup with RELENG_4
yesterday. 
Now while strictly following the update procedure in UPDATING (and
referring to the text from the handbook, I get a failure while doing 
make buildworld, viz

I am not sure what this means ;-) but I've replicated it by going into
/usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/perl and doing a 'make' in there.

I highly appreciate all help that will get me past this one.
