The "Frequently Asked Questions for FreeBSD 2.X, 3.X and 4.X" has an information about 2.2.7-stable and 3.0-current and nothing about UFS2 :( (see http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/faq/install.html#FFS-LIMITS and Table 3-1.
