I checked the FAQ's etc and only find refs to SCSI or parallel drives. = I think it may be possible because when I boot BSD it sees the drve as locked when = I have a disk in it and unlocked when I don't, and tries to assign it as = wdc1 and fails, then says unrecognied device wd1a.
