FreeBSD has=20 the reputation as being a server os, mainly. Server systems are mostly=20 headless, indeed.=20 But for the growing croud using FreeBSD as a desktop system, it should be able to have the beep disabled without the need of a patch. So some kind easy of configuration is needed.
