Here is reply indicating that X11 codeset registry is not maintained anymore, so we can't use their names in any cases. Some OSes (AIX, IRIX, Tru64, Solaris) use the X11 names in some cases and proprietary names in other cases. Note the X11 name registry stopped being maintained a few years ago.
