Yes, I know this is what you meant; my point was that what jmz said about the currently available knob to disable TrueType does not coincide with what you say about disabling the bundled FreeType. jmz's solution disables TrueType fonts, while just disabling the build of the bundled FreeType would still let people use ttf, but with a 'correct' FreeType library and no conflicts.
