I changed the password with passwd yesterday, wrote the password down and now I can not log into the system as root. I keep getting a login incorrect response. I know that the password that I am entering is correct. Other users on the system can log in OK. Is there any way to alter the password without logging in as root? ie. with the fixit disc?
